B.C. Place Stadium
Centrally located between Expo and Pacific Boulevards, B.C. Place is the world’s largest air supported dome. This stadium hosts a variety of events from concerts to trade shows, football games, and will also host the opening and closing ceremonies for the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympic Games. More information on B.C. Place Stadium and its events can be found at www.bcplacestadium.com

Quayside Marina
At Yaletown’s edge is the magnificent Quayside Marina. Along the seawall you will find trendy boutiques, chic restaurants and upscale residences. This marina is a first class berthing place for yachts and sailboats. The restaurants and sidewalk cafés have great outdoor patios where people can gather, have a great meal and people watch. This neighbourhood is always packed with an eclectic mix of individuals enjoying the benefits that the Yaletown seawall has to offer.

Helmcken Park
Directly across from 1110 Hamilton Street between Mainland and Pacific Streets you will find Helmcken Park. It’s beautifully landscaped garden fills the air with floral aroma. A water fountain completes the setting with its soothing sound. There are plenty of park benches to sit on or you can find a nice spot on the grassy knoll.

Emery Barnes Park
If you are looking for an oasis in the city, head to Emery Barnes Park at the corner of Davie and Richards Streets. This park opened to the public in September of 2003. It’s Zen like architecture and landscaping creates a tranquil mood. It is the perfect place to get away and relax.

Round House Community Arts & Recreation Centre
Originally constructed in 1888 the Roundhouse was used to house and service steam locomotives. As diesel-powered engines were introduced into the transportation industry steam locomotives became obsolete and the Roundhouse no longer served its purpose. Plans for demolition of this building were interrupted by local enthusiasts who fought to preserve the Roundhouse as a heritage sight. Today this facility is devoted to community development through arts and culture.
